Thomas Manetti was born on the 17th of April, 1977. As a child he learned how to play the saxophone at a music college in Deventer.
Following his high shool education at the age of eightteen, Thomas attented the conservatorium in Arnhem. It was no surprise that he chose his saxophone as his principal instrument. Inspired by Bruce Springsteen, Thomas taught himself how to play the guitar.
When they first met in 1996 there was an instant rapport between René and Thomas. They felt at ease with eachother as they sang harmony vocals on Gram Parsons songs.
As a member of the band Thomas usually playe electric guitar, saxophone and sang back-ground vocals during live performances and on all the cd's. The one exception is on the 2006 album; Another spot. Thomas sang lead vocals on one of his own compositions: Where the Eagle flies.
During live performances he also sings lead vocals on cover songs by Bruce Springsteen, Neil Young and Van Morisson. René and Thomas are the only two musicians in the band who are also songwriters. Several of Thomas's compositions are included on the cd's.
Thomas is probably the most expressive guy in the band. When the spirit's good, the band is rocking, and there's a good atmosphere he loses himself in his music.
Thomas and René have achieved an empathy and communication with eachother, which is evident in their live, musical performances. Their musical, which has taken them from Holland to America and England, will continue as they share their new songs with you at future concerts and on forthcoming albums. Watch this space !
